A cold call to Chris at July Ponds was answered immediately. We were experiencing a slow leak and could not determine where it was happening. Chris suggested we do a couple of things. We did and came up with possible problem areas. Chris called to see if we resolved the problem, but regrettably not. I scheduled an appointment. Chris advised the fees, which was good to know – no surprises. On the day of the appointment, I received a courtesy text message with an estimated arrival time. Meeting Chris in person, was a pleasure, you immediately knew you were talking with a person who had extensive knowledge and experience with ponds. Chris took about 15 minutes to find the problem and less time to fix it. What a huge sigh of relief – thank you. I recommend July Ponds to anyone considering building, rebuilding or regular maintenance work. I have already arranged for Chris to come out to do a full cleaning in the Spring. This is the third year Chris will open our pond for the summer season. I find him to be professional and hardworking. He shows up when he says he is going to. Chris located and fixed our leaking problem by rearranging some rocks and earth at the top of a small waterfall. I trust him to do a good job. When he opens the pond, that is my indication that summer is soon approaching!
Never having had a backyard waterfall/pond system previously, I called Chris to come and evaluate the existing 10-year-old system that came with our new home purchase on Sep/23 here in Mono, ON. After consultation, we decided to change/update/modernize the entire structure/system so that it would be a “feature” rather than a “problem” for our (and any future owners’) enjoyment.
After discussing our basic expectations with Chis and approving the quotation, they started construction in a few weeks and completed work in only 4 days. They provided a beautiful new, fully operational, low-maintenance, ” night-lighted” waterfall system that I am now pleased and proud to show my family and neighbours. We will finish things off next spring with some plantings to make it perfect.
