For clients with existing earthen ponds we encourage you to enhance your feature with wetland filtration and/or an intake bay. Moving water through native plants will filter water providing clarity and clean water. Intake bays are a great way to pull floating debris to one area for easy clean up.
Including a natural stone stream or waterfall will draw you to the feature and give the pond the WOW factor!
Landscaping the shoreline with retaining walls can aid in erosion control, prevent unsightly overgrowth and provide a means to separate lawn from pond and make it easier to cut grass. A beach or deck is a great way to encourage more interaction with the feature.
